The School of Electrical & Computer Engineering are working collectively to create a culture that values diversity and inclusivity, supports equal leadership opportunities, and promotes professional success for our students, faculty and staff.

Involvements from ECE faculty, staff, and students

The JEDI committee is empowers ECE faculty, staff, and students to engage in activities that have a demonstrably positive impact on the local community and improve the School of ECE’s position regarding Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion.

We offer K12 and Library STEM outreach

Introducing engineering concepts to K12 students through live demos and hands-on activities.

Our effort aligns with College of Engineering's Strategic Plan

Ensure an inclusive environment and increase the accessibility of our programs to an increasingly diverse population, leading to an increase in the diversity of thought through increased participation of underrepresented groups in our programs.

At the School of Electrical & Computer Engineering, we are working collectively to create a culture that values diversity and inclusivity, supports equal leadership opportunities, and promotes professional success for all students, faculty and staff.  The JEDI committee empowers ECE faculty, staff, and students to engage in activities that have a demonstrably positive impact on the local community and improve the School of ECE’s position regarding Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion. To promote and execute JEDI activities within the School of ECE, the ECE JEDI Committee collaborates with the Assistant Dean for Undergraduate Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the College of Engineering and with other JEDI activities that are sponsored at the College of Engineering level through the Office of Student Success and Outreach.
