I'm so thankful to the world-class faculty and staff at the University of Georgia College of Engineering for opening doors to a career that I didn't even know existed. It was an environment that nurtured both my academic and leadership skills, allowing me to carve out a career on the bleeding edge of semiconductors and integrated photonics. I’m now a few months away from obtaining my doctorate from Columbia University—an accomplishment that was only possible because of the College’s commitment to student mentoring, success, and overall well-being.

I am truly grateful for the opportunity to learn and research at The University of Georgia College of Engineering. From being able to develop programs in virtual reality, to learning how to fabricate and design hardware, the college fostered my growth for innovation and success. Prior to going to college, I did not have a clear goal nor a career in mind. The College of Engineering broadened my perspective, and provided next generation tools I did not know even existed. They not only gave me a warm welcome, but also inspired me to become a strong engineer. My career as a Senior Software Engineer could not have been reached without the guidance of the outstanding faculty and staff. They valued my knowledge and supported my endeavors.I have learned the core values of critical thinking, leadership, and independence through my years at the university, and I apply them to the industry still to this day.
